Featuring a profile nearly identical to that of the rim brake model the Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL6 Disc Frameset uses disc brakes and thru-axles to enhance control while the intuitive design ensures there is zero detriment to aerodynamic efficiency or stiffness. With its premium carbon construction large tyre clearances and Rider-First technology the SL6 Disc is equally as capable climbing as it is sprinting for the line making it the bike of choice for the Bora-Hansgrohe and Quick-Step Floors Cycling Teams.
Constructed entirely from FACT 12r carbon fibre and featuring a unique paint job for tackling challenging climbs with ease. Similarly Specializeds in-depth testing has ensured both stiffness and aerodynamic efficiency remain identical to that of its rim brake counterpart ideal for the discerning cyclist chasing every possible advantage out on the course.
Utilising Rider-First Engineering a consistent ride quality is ensured between sizes while the thru-axle design further enhances stiffness and control. Boasting a 12x100mm front and 12x142mm rear axle spacing this frameset is compatible with most modern disc brake wheelsets and comes with two choices of axle system. The two included systems differ in terms of design with one offering a tool-free lever system and the other featuring a 6mm allen key setup that sits flush with the frame improving aerodynamics and reducing the weight by 30 grams at each end.
Finished with CeramicSpeed bottom bracket bearings the SL6 Disc offers smooth reliable performance all year round while the frame design accommodates larger tyres for an improved ride quality. With clearance for tyres up to 30mm wide rolling resistance is reduced while both comfort and traction are increased offering a confidence inspiring ride through varied conditions and across even the most unpredictable of terrain.
